Patched MWO this afternoon and played 2 clean games. I then started experiencing clipping and other players said they saw me blinking all about in the 3rd. At the end of the match I checked that nothing else was running or downloading and logged back in. Every game since crashes out at some point with the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error message. I then restarting the client and re-logging into the match only gets another crash after I move my mech in game. I then Cold booted my system and opened up the MWO repair tool and ran it twice. Tested both the Blood Adder and Nova, that I had been leveling up when the crashing started, in the testing grounds for the same maps (Grim Plexis & Mining Colony - didn't test Canyon Network that had also crashed out) and found no issues. I waited my 5 minute penalty for the game disconnecting me repeatedly and got a couple minutes into the next game and was punted out again.
System: Windows 10 (64 bit), MWO Portal direct download version (Not Steam), AMD FX-6300Hex core CPU, 16gb GDDR5 RAM, Radion RX570 4MB GDDR5 GPU. I've had zero issues since rolling back the GPU driver quite some time ago to 17.11.4 to get around the "Unrecognized GPU" erroneous messaging and crashes Piranha Games hasn't been able to fix yet, at least according to the forums. No other programs or games I own and have tried are having any issues.

Okay... Since the driver that had been working for me for over a year regarding the "unsupported GPU" issue stopped working at all with this last patch I decided, since I couldn't play, I'd update to the newest AMD driver for the Radeon GPUs. This seems to have worked to fix what ever the patch did to invalidate the old driver as well as wipe out the unrecognized GPU issue from back then. So, if you are running the old driver for your AMD GPU as a bandaid fix, you apparently can now update to the newest GPU driver, 18.5.1 I believe, and fix both issues. Not sure what in the patch invalidated the stable old driver, but either way there seems to be an easy and more conventional fix. Hope that helps anyone who ends up in this same boat. (FTR: been working for 3 drops in a row. If it starts acting up I'll post here again with an update. No news is good news in this case.)
